Resistance to Multiple Corrosive Media: Hastelloy seamless pipes contain various alloy elements such as nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), and chromium (Cr). These elements work together to enable them to resist multiple corrosive media. For example, in strongly acidic environments such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, Hastelloy seamless pipes can maintain good chemical stability. They also exhibit excellent tolerance to corrosive media containing chloride ions, which usually cause severe corrosion to many metallic materials. This corrosion resistance enables them to be widely used in pipeline systems for handling corrosive fluids in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Strong Resistance to Localized Corrosion: Hastelloy seamless pipes can not only effectively resist general corrosion but also have strong resistance to localized corrosion (such as pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion). The passive film formed by the alloy components on the surface of the pipe is very dense and stable, which can prevent the corrosive media from eroding the pipe in local areas. For example, in a chemical reaction environment with high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive media, these seamless pipes can avoid pipeline perforation and leakage caused by localized corrosion.
Good High-Temperature Performance
High Temperature Resistance and High Strength: Hastelloy seamless pipes can still maintain relatively high strength in a high-temperature environment. The melting point of the alloy is relatively high, and it will not soften or lose strength rapidly like some common metals in a high-temperature environment. In high-temperature application scenarios such as components of aerospace engines and pipeline systems of high-temperature chemical reactors, they can withstand the thermal stress and mechanical stress brought by high temperature, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of the pipelines.
Good Thermal Stability: In an environment where the temperature changes frequently, Hastelloy seamless pipes have good thermal stability. They will not produce obvious deformation or rupture due to thermal expansion and contraction, and can adapt to complex thermal cycling processes.
