High hardness and wear resistance: The Mohs hardness of sintered stone is usually between 6 and 7. High hardness means that its surface is not easily scratched. For example, when using a stainless steel knife to scratch on the surface of a sintered stone kitchen cabinet, there are generally no obvious marks; even when using a sharper ceramic knife to scratch, it is difficult to cause damage to it. Materials with lower hardness such as marble are easily scratched.
High temperature resistance: Since the firing temperature of sintered stone is as high as about 1250°, it is very suitable for high-temperature environments such as kitchens. You can directly place a boiling hot casserole on it, and it will not crack due to sudden heating and cooling. You can even use a high-temperature blowtorch to barbecue on its surface. It also has extremely strong fire resistance and is difficult to ignite and will not release harmful gases due to combustion.
High density and strong impact resistance: For example, 6mm thick sintered stone has the same impact resistance as 35mm thick granite. Its strength is at least twice that of ordinary ceramic products. It is strong and durable and not easily damaged.
Good stain resistance: The surface of sintered stone is generally a level 5 stain-resistant surface. Usually, just wiping with warm water can make its surface as clean as new. And some specially treated sintered stones also have self-cleaning functions, making daily care relatively easy.
Seamless surface and extremely low water absorption: Different from some marbles that are easily contaminated, the surface of sintered stone has no gaps and stains are difficult to penetrate. Its water absorption rate is usually lower than 0.02. There is no need to worry about sewage penetrating sintered stone or staining it. It is easy to clean and not easy to accumulate dirt.
